ALBANY, GA. --

A new discount furniture store has opened up shop on Philema Road but the business is not only set up to make money.

180 Discount Furniture and Recruited Ministry is stocked with used items such as beds, futons, and china cabinets for those looking for a deal on household furniture.

Donations in furniture, clothing, or other household supplies will be accepted for families who fall under hard times.

The facility will also serve as a ministry to serve those in need.

Prayer meetings and bible sessions will be hosted by Recruited Ministry.

“I’ve been praying that the Lord would just open up a door for me to be able to help people and just passing by this building every day, I was just pressed to turn what used to be a bar into something to help people,” said Shane Waller, owner of 180 Furniture.

Waller would like to donate part of the sales proceeds to organizations that support people in need and to the growth of Recruited Ministries.

180 Discount Furniture is located at 1628 Philema Road in Leesburg across from Mike's Country Store.
