Lee County High marching band gets top honors

This is the first time in the last ten years the band has won the first place title.

LEESBURG, GA -- The Lee County High School Marching Band received a 'Superior' rating as well as won first place at the Georgia Invitational Band Championship on October 27.

Band Director Hank Carter says the first place win was a complete surprise. This is the first time in the last ten years the band has won the first place title.

Carter says he hopes the students keep up the momentum for next year as well.
