Colder temperatures aren't the only things southwest Georgians have to deal with as the seasons continue to change.

For many allergy sufferers this it when their symptoms start kicking in. Weeds pollinate during this time of year and molds are also common.

Allergists say they colder temperature can also irritate people’s symptoms.

"Some patient's with allergies are more sensitive to weather changes, it may just be the cold air that causes their rhinitis symptoms or their nose symptoms to kind of flare up but it’s also the change in the environment around this time of year," said Allergist, Erin Cannington.

Cannington added that she has been seeing a lot of people who mistake allergies for sickness, and you should visit a doctor for a diagnosis.
