ALBANY, GA --
Folks living on the marine base enjoyed the cooler weather and fellowship this weekend.

They came together for food, games, hayrides, and lots of music and dancing.

The event is aimed at bringing all the families on base closer together and strengthening that bond.

“About five to six times a year, usually during whenever the seasons change or whenever a big holiday comes up, they do get the chance to come together but this is usually one of the biggest ones that they do turn out for,” says Chaplain Assistant Peter Green.

They even lit a bonfire once the sun went down and temperatures got even cooler.
