ALBANY, GA --
An Albany man claims alignments on all three of his cars are out due to repeatedly traveling over the railroad tracks at Slappey Boulevard and Gillionville Road.

In a time when not many can afford such car repairs, he made complaints to the city through 311.

The director of Engineering for the city, Bruce Maples, told FOX 31 News that it is on the radar.

The Georgia Department of Transportation has approved the work that needs to be done and they are waiting for the green light from Norfolk Southern who owns the railroad.

Traffic on Slappey will be detoured for some time, so officials with the city have requested it take place in the beginning of the new year as opposed to busy travel seasons like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Road work is expected to take up to four days.
