ALBANY, GA -- An afternoon accident has caused northbound traffic on Slappey to halt.

The Albany Fire Department, Albany Police Department, and EMS responded to the accident.

Officers say that a six car accident is the cause of the stoppage.

Officials on scene say that the first car slowed down due to traffic when he was rear-ended by the second car. With little warning, four other cars also became part of the accident due to rear-end collisions.

There were no reported injuries at this time.
