Customers flooded the newest addition to the Tifton Mall on Sunday during the grand opening of TJ Maxx.

The store brings 79 jobs -- not including 3 managerial positions -- to the town and employees like Sherry Brodgon are thankful for the opportunity.

Shoppers are also excited saying the store not only creates jobs in town but will pump money back into Tifton during a time when it's most important.

Customers like Ashley Morris say it's a wonderful addition to the town and now people won't have to use money on the gas driving to Valdosta or Albany to get TJ Maxx's services.

Tifton store manager Ross Burnett says the employees are all excited for the start of what they hope to be a very successful run.
