ALBANY, GA --
Open Arms Inc. will open a Street Outreach Program thanks to a Federal Grant.

The Family and Youth Services Bureau awarded Open Arms a $100,000 a year grant to operate the new facility for up to 3 years.

The home on Pine Avenue will provide teens in difficult situations with a place to go and receive the necessary items and education to stay off the streets and make the right decisions.

Street Outreach Program director Tiffany Solomon says this center is different from Open Arms because it   gives teens a place to hang out and communicate with peers in similar situations, giving them people to talk to and relate with.

Employees of the program have teamed up with Kohl's to prepare the home for its grand opening next week.
