ALBANY, GA --
Another downtown business has  announced it's closing its doors.

The Bank of America Branch on South Washington Street will operate for the last time on February 8th, 2013.

The bank made the announcement in a letter to its account holders this week saying services will continue to be available at the branch at 2111 East Oglethorpe Expressway.

The letter explained other alternatives like online banking and offered customers an address to send any comments on the decision but advised the agency does not have the authority to prevent the closure.

FOX 31 reached out to the South Washington Street branch who confirmed the closing but did not make a comment as to why the decision was made.
