Local groups band together to spread cancer awareness

ALBANY, GA --
Several local groups joined together Friday afternoon to promote breast cancer awareness at a luncheon.

The Phoebe Cancer Center along with the Southwest Public Health District, the Albany Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and the American Cancer Society teamed up for the  2012 Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon.

Attendees were served a complimentary lunch and heard from guest speaker Dr. Tory Kimsey, M.D., director of Surgical Oncology at the Phoebe Cancer Center.
