LEESBURG, GA --
Georgia Representative Ed Rynders visited Lee County Pre-K Thursday morning to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Georgia's Pre-K Programs.

Rynders took time to read to student, and had this to say about the local program,
"We're blessed in Lee County, we've got one of the finest pre-K programs in the entire state, and it gives us the opportunity to interact with them. I read them "Pete the Cat" and we really just had a wonderful time."

The students seemed to be having a wonderful time as well, singing a long when the book prompted them too.

October 1st through 5th also is the 2nd official year of
Pre-K Week sponsored by Georgia's Children and partners.

"We are so honored that Representative Rynders is taking time away from his demanding schedule to spend some time with us," said Jan Duke, director of Lee County Pre-K in a release.  "We need leaders like (him/her) to be vocal about the positive effects that early childhood education programs have on the future success of the child, and of our state."
