According to Albany police, a tip came in from Crime Stoppers on the whereabouts of Jackson. The tip indicated that he was inside an apartment on Swift Street.

Officers were dispatched and Jackson was taken into custody without incident.

Albany Crime Stoppers has approved a reward for the tipster that alerted authorities about the location of Jackson. The The Albany Crime Stoppers board thanks the community and the media for their support. Law enforcement encourages citizens to use the Crime Stoppers Tip line to report information. The Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Bureau is soliciting the public’s help in locating an armed robbery suspect.

Joshua Jackson, 21, is wanted in connection to an armed robbery at the Subway restaurant located at 912 South Slappey Boulevard.

Warrants for armed robbery and aggravated assault have been issued against the suspect.

The robbery happened just before 9:30 p.m. on September 20, 2012.

Jackson is suspected to have fired two or more shots before threatening two cashiers with a handgun and demanding money.

Anyone who with information about the whereabouts of Jackson should call Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS or they can contact Albany Police Department Investigation Bureau (229 431-3288).
