Law enforcement executes search warrant on Nottingham Apartment

ALBANY, GA -- An early morning call Tuesday about shots being fired led the
Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit
and Gang Task force to execute a search warrant on a Nottingham apartment Tuesday morning.
The
Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit
, Gang Task Force, and SWAT team shut down Nottingham Way Tuesday morning around 9 AM to execute a search warrant at the Nottingham North apartments.
During the search, marijuana and scales were recovered while three people were taken into custody for questioning. Following questioning, 24-year-old Marcus Thomas was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a public school.
After further questioning, another search warrant was issued and executed for the Sleep Inn, on Dawson Road. From that warrant 32-year-old Derek Moore, who had 12 active warrants out for him, was arrested. In the room 2 1/2 pounds of marijuana was found along with some cocaine.
The search warrant stemmed from the Albany Police Department responding to a call this about shots being fired on the south side of Albany. Officers pulled over a car and arrested 21-year-old Detravious Britton, 21-year-old Dominique Pittman, and 20-year-old Frederick Allen. The Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit and Gang Task Force interviewed those arrested and found out about the house on Nottingham.
Allen was charged with criminal street gang participation, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, and probation violation. Britton as charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce, criminal street gang participation, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, more charges pending. Pittman was charged with possession of marijuana less than an ounce, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within a 1000 feet of a public school.
