ALBANY, GA --
The Southwest Georgia Regional Airport Commission met Monday night to discuss the progress of the new terminal opening in June.

With the framework beginning to come together, airport director, Yvette Aehle says she is thrilled to have the project almost finished.

"Everything is on track at this point, there's no schedule issue, there's no scheduling problems and we hope to have the building done by next June. And then after that this current terminal will come down, and then all of the improvements out front will start," said Aehle.

The board also discussed several temporary fixes to the current terminal, just to last until its demolition sometime next year.
