Man arrested in Albany on child cruelty charges

ALBANY,GA --
A man wanted on several charges--including child cruelty--was arrested Friday.

35-year-old Thomas Williams was arrested by gang unit investigators in room 240 at the Motel 6 at 201 Thornton Drive around 5:00 Friday evening.

Investigators went to the room after getting a tip that Williams was staying at the motel.

Investigators knocked on the door, Williams answered and was taken into custody without incident.

Williams was wanted on several warrants including four counts of cruelty to a child, theft by taking, battery, and a probation violation.
