ALBANY, GA -- An Albany man may not have hit the $7 million dollar jackpot, but still walked away with $500,000.

Lottery officials say that Richard Payne bought the ticket at Seymour's Food Store #1 on Dawson Road. He played the instant game $7 Million Jackpot which has cash prizes up to $7 million.

Payne picked up his winnings at the Georgia Lottery District Office in Tifton on Tuesday.

“We've had one other large winner from this particular game. Eric Holmes, who is in the Atlanta area, also won $500,000 earlier in the year from playing this game,” says Kimberly Stark, Georgia Lottery Corporation Media Specialist.
