ALBANY,GA --
With the cooler temperatures that we'll hopefully start seeing sooner rather than later, comes also the reminder to get your flu shots.

The Southwest Public Health District's 14 county health departments will begin offering the vaccinations this Tuesday, September 4th.

They have both the nasal mist and the flu shots available.

Doses are $25.

They also want to remind people that the flu is nothing to sniff at--seasonal flu can cause mild to severe illness and even death.

Older adults, young children and those with chronic health conditions like diabetes or heart disease are at high risk and should get their vaccinations early.
