ALBANY, GA --
The Albany Police Department is searching for a masked gunman that robbed the Pizza Hut on East Oglethorpe early Sunday morning.

A man walked in the main entrance wearing a Batman mask and brandished a hand gun shortly after midnight before he demanded money.

An employee handed the man the register's drawer - which held at least $100 - before he took off running.

Employees told officials the door was unlocked because a worker walked out without telling the manager – something they say was uncharacteristic of him. According to the report, they said the employee usually announces when he leaves so they can lock the door behind him.

If you have any information on this case, contact the Albany Police Department or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 229-436-TIPS, that’s 229-436-8477.
