ALBANY, GA -- The Parks at Chehaw have cut the ribbon on their new African Veldt exhibit after two years of anticipation.

The exhibit was the vision of Jim Fowler and includes animals such as eland, impalas, wildebeest, zebra, and ostriches on forty acres of land. Chehaw will take visitors out to the exhibit on a tractor.

The African Veldt will open to the public on September first and will only be open on weekends. The Veldt will close November 26th and will then reopen later this spring.

Admission to the exhibit is $5.00.
