ALBANY, GA --
In our Facebook Story of the Day, you wanted to know how many calls 311 has taken this year.

Fox 31 spoke with Assistant City Manager Wes Smith who says the center is averaging around 2500 to 2600 calls per month, totaling over 15,000 calls from January to June this year.

Smith says the center, who was named a Georgia Trendsetter, also takes around 1,000 calls per month away from 911 allowing them to focus on the emergencies.

311 is available to not only answer a range of questions from Public Works to Water, Gas & Light information but also set up work orders for issues such as pot holes.
