ALBANY, GA. --

Albany leaders gathered Thursday afternoon at the Welcome Center on Front Street to work on a plan to boost tourism in the area and keep visitors coming back to Albany for more.

During the Albany Hospitality Committee meeting officials discussed plans and events for the upcoming months.

The Flint Fest is scheduled for October 6th. Organizers say patrons can expect a full array of musical groups from country to rock.

Hospitality representatives are also making trips to trade shows to draw tourist to Albany.

“The job of different CVBs from around the nation is to come together and try to get those companies to come to their city. So my job is to sale Albany and let people know how great Albany is,” says Courtney Spencer, Albany CVB Sales Manager.

Officials plan to attend trades shows next month.
