ALBANY, GA -- In our Facebook Story of the Day, you wanted to know if construction was finished on the upcoming Olive Garden. Fox 31 spoke to Development Services Senior Manager Tracy Hester, who says the Planning and Development Office has a final check planned for tomorrow on the building.
"The only hold-up during the construction process right now is waiting on site approval, City Engineering does that. Once they sign off, we will do our final which we'll issue the CO to them at that point,” said Hester.
Once this is done, the building is then officially turned over to Olive Garden to start the hiring process and other duties needed to open the doors. According to Olive Garden's website, the business will open next month and Hester says construction has stayed on schedule so that date hasn't changed. If all goes according to plan, you could be enjoying endless breadsticks in only a few short weeks.
