ALBANY, GA --
The University of Georgia opened up and began orientation of it's Southwest Georgia Clinical Campus Monday.

The new campus lends itself to students that want to pursue a career in pharmaceuticals, and more specifically, in Southwest Georgia.

"It's a chance to really give back, to those people that got you where you are today, through medicine and expertise," said third-year student Josh Breeden.

Officials tried to make sure each student using the Albany-based clinic were from the area, and could learn from the medical experts at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
