ALBANY, GA -- Afternoon thunderstorms brought wicked weather into Southwest Georgia and a surprise for one Albany family.

Albany firefighters responded to a dead tree falling on a home located at 1122 West Whitney Avenue around 3:30 PM Thursday afternoon.

The tree landed in the dining area of the home destroying several windows and causing some damage to the room. There were no injuries reported to the family despite them being in the home at the time.
