ALBANY, GA --
Senators Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss along with Congressman Sanford Bishop addressed a room full of local leaders about sequestration.

Congress is mandating a $1.2 trillion cut across the board over the next ten years. This would mean around $500 million in cuts from the U.S. Military. This would greatly impact Albany, since the Marine Corps Logistics Base has an economic impact of over $700 million. Military bases would have to cut services by 20% if the sequestration were to happen January 2, 2013.

Dignitaries are calling on congress to be more fiscally responsible.
