ALBANY, GA --

For 101 years, the Albany YMCA was closed on Sundays, for its 102nd year they decided to give something new a try and opened on Sundays.

On the one year anniversary of its new schedule the YMCA was giving out ice cream sundaes, to show their appreciation to members for making the schedule a success.

Having the YMCA stay open all weekend is something members like
Louise Little appreciate, "I can come Sunday afternoon, because I'm so busy during the week, I can't get here all the time during the week, and (now) I can come on Sunday afternoon."

Officials from the YMCA said they decided to open on Sunday’s after customers started requesting it.
