Funding for plant clean up

Water, Gas, and Light is asking for money to help clean up the plant on Society Street.

ALBANY, GA -- The Long-Term Financial Planning Committee met today. This committee is composed of three city commissioners and two Water, Gas, and Light commissioners.

Water, Gas, and Light is asking for money to help clean up the plant on Society Street.

With out money to help, the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) could fine the City of Albany for the plant's conditions regardless of the fact that Water, Gas, and Light have been in charge of the clean up.

No conclusions were met and the committee will meet again at 12pm on Tuesday.
