ALBANY, GA --

In the Facebook story of the day you wanted to know if the weather deterred people from voting in the July 31st primary.

While it’s hard for officials to know for sure what causes voters to stay home from the polls, the weather can definitely be a factor and is something they were keeping an eye one.

Leesburg election supervisor Veronica Johnson said, "we watched the weather, and kept thinking that it may be a factor but we never really had rain here in Leesburg so I think it really didn't play into it."

Leesburg reported they had a 42 percent voter turnout, which they consider to be good.
