LEE COUNTY, GA --
A Lee County home was able to withstand a strike from mother nature.

Lee County Fire responded with four fire engines after getting a call from the residents. The family says they were watching television in the living room when they heard a loud boom emanate from their house.

Upon Lee County Fire Department's arrival, they found no flames at the home and just a singed roof upon first glance.

Investigators checked the home and attic for signs of embers or smoke but found none.

The family is staying elsewhere for the time being and the fire department says their doesn't appear to be much damage upon the initial look.
