ALBANY, GA --
The Downtown Manager’s Office, Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau, Albany Downtown Sertoma Club, ADICA and 340 Creative Group have partnered to organize “Albany Music and Art Week” for the common purpose of providing family-friendly, safe music and art events to bring the community together while showcasing talented local and regional musicians and artists.

Flint Fest will kick off the week on Saturday, October 6th at River Front Park near the Flint River.

Different art exhibits will be showcased throughout the rest of the week leading up to the SOWEGA Music Festival.

Officials are confident that the music week will set a president for the city.

“It's going to grow! Yes it's going to grow and I’m just positive that it's going to go off without a hitch because we are working on anything that could possibly occur that would keep it from being a hitch,” said Albany Mayor Dorothy Hubbard.

The partnership is dedicated to encouraging famous musicians and artists, who once called Albany, GA and the surrounding region their home, to return to Albany to participate.
