Fire officials say the fire that started at 414 North Jackson Street Monday is highly suspicious.
The house was abandoned and all power had been cut to the structure. Arson Investigator Sam Harris will be looking into the case Thursday.
Officials estimate they doused the structure with 60,000 gallons of water.

The Albany Fire Department is investigating a fire that destroyed a two story home in the 400 block of North Jackson Street in downtown Albany.
Firefighters spent the Monday afternoon trying to contain the flames.
When officials arrived on the scene they say flames were spewing from the back of the vacant home and that's where officials believe the fire started.
No one was injured during the fire.
While a crew worked on a fire in the downtown area, other firefighters we're battling a house fire on Samford Avenue.
The Samford fire began in the kitchen.
The homeowner forgot a pot on the stove and by the time she remembered the food, the fire had spread in the kitchen.
Firefighters arrived quickly and extinguished the blaze.
Officials say the home suffered extensive fire and smoke damage.
