ALBANY, GA --
Moultrie Police addressed the media Thursday regarding a stand-off that took place earlier this week.

Tuesday afternoon, officers were called to a residential neighborhood in the city of Moultrie. Upon arrival, police found James Riddley boarded up inside his home, refusing to come out.

Riddley claimed to have weapons on the premises which caused officers to take a defensive approach. However Rob Rodriguez of the Moultrie Police Department says Riddley's safety was always a top priority.

"One of our main concerns is his safety, and not knowing what the situation is, we were trying to bring it to a successful resolution, and we did. It was a collaborative effort from several different agencies," said Rodriguez.
