ALBANY, GA -- The name of the officer involved in a weekend wreck that sent seven people to the hospital has been released.

According to police records released Monday, officer Gary Price was driving the police vehicle south on Jefferson Street with his lights on responding to a call. The report states he ran a red light turning right onto Whitney Ave, and struck the Ford F-150 driven by 22-year-old Dmitria Kennard. Price attempted to swerve to the right to try to avoid a collision. The Ford, however, spun clockwise and rolled over on its top. Kennard had five children in the car with her. No one was ejected from either vehicle. Kennard and one child were trapped inside and had to be extricated. A red light violation charge to Price is pending an accident review board, and a child restraint charge is pending for Kennard for improper usage.

All were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
