ALBANY, GA --

In observation of National HIV Testing Day, the Southwest Health District sponsored a free health fair.

The event was held at the Dougherty County Health Department, and was open to men and women of all ages. Attendees were offered free blood pressure and weight screening, and of course confidential HIV testing.

Latoya Robinson, the ADAPT Coordinator, says, "In this day in age, the HIV virus is running ramped, and we're asking that everyone knows their status to help prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS and just to be aware of what’s going on with your own personal body and get the treatment that you need if you are positive."

This is the third annual Health Fair, the health department has hosted, and they say that are planning to hold another one next year.
