ALBANY, GA. --

Albany firefighters took a break from fighting fires to educate kids on fire safety.

Fire officials spoke to a group of kids at the River Road Church of Christ about how they should handle themselves in case of a fire.

The children learned who to call and what to do if they think something is wrong.

Firefighters even dressed up in their gear to explain how it works to protect them during an emergency.

Children and parents were able to ask questions and get involved in the presentation.
