ALBANY, GA --
The Albany-Dougherty County Economic Development Commission announced Outdoor Network - one of the largest online suppliers of marine and powersports equipment - will be moving its Internet fulfillment center right here to Albany.

"This is a great community and I think today proves that we have a fantastic business climate. Companies like this, companies like Equinox Chemicals, they can be successful here," said EDC President, Ted Clem.

Outdoor Network, who also operates Powersports Plus in Albany, will use this center to obtain and service online orders to be shipped world-wide.

"Georgia in particular provides an opportunity for us to speed up our delivery times because of the logistics in the state," said Outdoor Network CEO, Martin Polo.

While vehicles such as motorcycles, ATV’s, and more may seem like fun, after Monday’s announcement they’ll mean a lot more for Albany.

"Today was a great announcement with 112 new jobs coming to Albany and we're very excited," said Clem.

"The local community here is much larger than where we're located in Florida so it gives us a bigger pool for hiring," said Polo.

With 112 new jobs to fill, the EDC and Outdoor Network called upon Georgia Quick Start - a company who creates custom workforce training plans - to help get them started.

"We deliver technical training to individuals that are being recruited by a company in a start up or in an expansion to help transfer technology to help someone be successful just as soon as they hit the plant floor," said Georgia Quick Start’s Director of Western Project Operations, Sean McMillan.
