Children read to therapy dogs Tuesday afternoon at Lee County library.

ALBANY, GA --
The Lee County Public Library welcomed the "Paws Patrol" Tuesday in an attempt to help children practice their reading skills.
Therapy dogs were brought in Tuesday afternoon to a sea of smiling young faces. Kids paired off with the animals, reading them their favorite stories and learning in the process.
"They can work on their reading skills in a judgment free environment, and it's fun for them, it makes reading fun," said Children's Director, Erin Honeycutt.
With dogs being used for the blind, hearing impaired, and seizure patients, the "Paws Patrol" event was a fun and helpful reminder, that dogs are truly, man's best friend.
