The Albany Police Department’s firearms safety course will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. at the Law Enforcement Center in the Community Room.  The eight hour class, which is open to citizens 21 years of age and older, will cover basic handgun safety, legal issues, and handling skills needed to deploy a handgun for self defense.

General Information

Applicants will have to sign a release and authorize the Albany Police Department to conduct a background check to obtain any information relating to a criminal history record for the purpose of making a determination of eligibility for the course.
