LEE COUNTY, GA. --
A woman is recovering after a rollover accident in Lee County sent her to the hospital.

Monday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. Burnedette Harris, 31, was travelling north on Slappey Boulevard when police say she ran a red light and clipped a 2009 silver Nissan.

A family was inside the car when the accident happened.

Officers say the driver of the Nissan was making a turn onto Slappey Boulevard from Ledo Road when Harris T-boned her on the side.

This made Harris lose control of her Mitsubishi SUV.

“The family vehicle luckily ended up over here but she wasn't so lucky. Her vehicle overturned and landed over here in the ditch. She was transported to the hospital with injuries. The family fortunately is alright,” says Corporal Scott McClure, with the Georgia State Patrol.

Lee County Fire officials and Lee County Sheriff’s officers also responded to the accident.

Burnedette Harris will face charges for running the red light.
