LEE COUNTY, GA --
Lee County Primary School is pumped for the Wednesday night finale of American Idol

Faculty and students alike where representing their hometown boy Phillip Phillips, as they anxiously wait to hear the winner of this season's American idol.

Teachers took advantage of the special occasion to teach their students about writing letters.

The students wrote encouraging letters to Phillip and his family, along with letters to American Idol stating why they feel Phillip should be the next American Idol.

Phillip's family received those encouraging letters prior to the airing of the season finale.
