ALBANY, GA --

The Junior League of Albany hosted their first ever Paws for a Cause event this morning at the Pet Supermarket on Dawson Road.

Visitors could receive a professional portrait of his or herself with their pet by bringing a monetary donation or pet supplies

Proceeds from the fundraiser benefit the Lee County Humane Society, whose goal is to help as many pets as possible.

“Lee County Humane Society does so much for our area. They take in pets, they help support them, and help benefit the adoption process in Lee County, we really want to support them in any way we can,” said Stephanie Knight, a representative from the Junior League of Albany.

This is the Junior League’s first ever Paws for a Cause event but they hope to continue to help drive donations and build inventory for the Humane Society in the future.
