ALBANY, GA --
Members of law enforcement took time off from fighting crime to heat up the grills for another cook-off competition.

Friends and family joined in on the fun. The defending champions showed off their trophies with hopes that they may add another to the collection.

This cook-off is held every year in support of National Law Enforcement Week. It's a celebration of what officers do every day and a remembrance for officers that have been lost in the line of duty.

Captain Craig Dodd with the Dougherty County Sheriff's Office says that the guys are out here cooking to show their camaraderie and friendship between law enforcement officers.

"It's a good way for them to get together and make good food," says Dodd.
