ALBANY,GA --
Ross Harrison with the Flint River Habitat for Humanity spoke to Rotarians Tuesday to dispel rumors.

He says despite common belief, they do not “give away” homes to people.

Harrison says there's a lot more that goes into the process.

“We actually have families qualify to own a home and they have to have good credit scores and they have to have a way to pay us back and we train them on how to maintain a home,” says Harrison.

This is Flint River Habitat's 25 anniversary.

They have served around 150 families in that time.
