ALBANY, GA --
An Albany-area drug dealer gets over 20 years in jail time and supervision from a 2009 arrest.

According to a press release issued by the office of United States Attorney for Middle District of Georgia Michael Moore, Craig Harrell was sentenced to a prison term of 212 months, followed by five  years supervised release, and a $100 mandatory assessment fee.

Harrell plead guilty to possession of cocaine base or crack cocaine with the intent to distribute in February 2011. In his plea agreement, Harrell admitted that he possessed 716.98 grams of cocaine base or crack cocaine with the intent to distribute. This stemmed from an arrest in May 2009, when the Albany-Dougherty Drug Unit executed search warrants at two locations, his residence where they recovered 647 grams of crack cocaine and an apartment where they recovered approximately 70 grams of crack cocaine.
