Escaped convict caught in Worth County

WORTH COUNTY, GA --
An escaped convict was caught monday by the Worth County Sheriff's Department.

Saturday evening, inmate Fontella Brown left the Albany Transitional Center and didn't return.

That night, Brown allegedly broke into an abandoned house to sleep in for the evening. 

On Monday, several law enforcement agencies spotted him in a Chevrolet pick- up and chased him  down till he got out and ran away into the woods.

This all happened near Ehesus Church Road and Whiddon Mill Road in Poulan where  he was tracked down by a k-9 unit.

Brown is in jail and faces charges of escape and breaking and entering.
