ALBANY, GA. -- Civic organizations hit the streets early Saturday morning cleaning up Dougherty County.
The Albany Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. along with the Kappa League, a high school mentorship program under the leadership of the Guide Right Program, walked a stretch of Slappey Boulevard picking up trash.
The group started near the Harvey’s grocery chain and worked their way south.
This is a part of the Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful "Stash-the-Trash" litter removal campaign.
Groups from all over the county participated in the event.
Keep Albany-Dougherty Beautiful provided each team with gloves and trash bags.
