ALBANY, GA --
DCSS will hold a special called board meeting Thursday at 1:30pm.

The main item on the agenda is the possible consolidation and repurposing of some Dougherty County schools.

School officials are expected to release information about whether at least one facility will be closed to save funds.

Since some elementary schools have a declining student population, it's been suggested by a consultant that they be closed.

Magnolia elementary is one of the schools recommended to be closed and repurposed.
