Aspirin is a medicine commonly used to relieve mild to moderate pain; reduce fever, and swelling; and to help prevent blood from clotting.

It's also known to help reduce high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Pharmacist Chris Cleveland from DOC Heilinbel Pharmacy talked to FOX 31 about the effects of taking a low daily dose of aspirin.

"It usually helps with circulation issues.There have been studies that have shown that patients that have a genetic predisposition like cardiac issues such as stroke or heart disease," said Cleveland.
