ALBANY, GA --
A grand jury indicted two men connected to multiple armed robberies across Southwest Georgia.

On Wednesday, the grand jury indicted Quinorris Brockinton and Melvin Johnson for multiple armed robbery, aggravated assault and gun charges.

In February and March of 2009, the duo allegedly committed four armed robberies in Albany - three at convenience stores and one at a liquor store. They also are connected to armed robberies in Worth County, Waycross and Coffee County, according to Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards.

Dougherty County indictments are just now coming to Brockinton and Johnson because they had to first go before other jurisdictions.

Also at grand jury on Monday, Samuel Wright was indicted for hitting a police officer’s car on Feb. 3. Edwards says Wright is indicted for aggravated assault on a peace officer, attempting to flee, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, failure to maintain lane, among other charges.
