Albany Fire Department responds to fire on Tift Avenue

ALBANY, GA --
Firefighters responded to a fire in the 300 block of Tift Avenue today.

 


  
Fire officials say the home owner saw fire coming out of his breaker box.

Before the man had time to call for help the fire spread to his kitchen.
   
Embers from the fire fell from a 2nd story porch and  caught the bed of a truck on fire.

The Albany Fire Department is still investigating the cause  of the blaze.

Damage to the home is estimated at $11,000.
